Health Extension Lite Little Bites Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe Dry Dog Food Review

Our Recommendation

Health Extension Little Bites is a great solution for those that have small breed dogs that are either overweight or have a hard time keeping the weight off without feeling dissatisfied. Health Extension has created a formula to address the needs of pet parent’s that struggle to keep their little dog at a suitable weight.

A lot of people have small or medium dogs. It is all too easy to give cute little dogs too many snacks. On top of that, you have to watch out for others spoiling your dog with too many snacks! Kids and neighbors that mean well and have good intentions can, unfortunately, make it easy for your dog to get too heavy. Feeding a balanced, nutritious, and satisfying food with less fat and calories can make a major difference.

  • High-quality protein. Organic chicken is a major ingredient.
  • Rice and oatmeal help your dog feel full and satisfied without corn, wheat, or soy products.
  • Brewer’s yeast helps keep the coat shiny and gorgeous.
  • Flaxseed provides an excellent source of Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids.
  • Probiotics help with digestion and boost immunity.
  • Vitamins and minerals added.

Transition Instructions

Over 5-7 days gradually replace your dog’s food with Little Bites. Very sensitive dogs may be transitioned over 10 days but it is unlikely that your dog will need that long to make a smooth transition.

Feeding Amounts

Feeding Instructions

Fresh water is important to keep near your dog’s feeding station. Feeding amounts should be adjusted to meet your dog’s activity level and metabolism.

The Bottom Line

While this formula uses quality ingredients, it is expensive for the quality you get. If you have a small dog that has problems with their weight, the additional cost may be worth it since a bag will last for a few months.

The combination of different proteins with fruit and veggies gives your dog a lot of flavor and variety that is not always found in other dog foods.
