This dog food reminds me of Diamond Naturals Dog Food in some ways because it keeps the ingredients list simple but high quality.

Pro Pac was not a brand I was very familiar with. It is easy to order on Amazon but I am not sure how easy it is to find at local stores. They have a lot of different formulas which can be a good thing for those that have multiple dogs

I would recommend this dog food for those with big puppies and grown adult large and giant breeds. The one thing I would add to this food is possibly some probiotic powder to help with digestion and encourage better nutrient uptake and conversion of calories.

Transition Instructions

Dog’s should be switched to Pro Pac over a 5-7 day time period. If your dog has some sensitivities, use the longer timeline. Most dogs can be easily transitioned over a week time period.

Pregnant and lactating female dogs will require 2 – 3 times as much food as Adult feeding guidelines shown. When switching to a new food, gradually increase the new food and decrease the old food over a 7 – 10 day period of time until your pet is completely eating PRO PAC® Ultimates™ Large Breed Adult Chicken Meal & Brown Rice Formula.

The Bottom Line

Pro Pac is a brand that I would feed to my dogs but it seems harder to find so ordering it would have to be how I went about it.

The combination of quality meats, veggies, and fruits with vitamins and minerals offers a balanced and delicious diet for your large breed puppy or dog. Propac is available in many formulations too so if your dog’s needs change over the years you may want to check out the other Pro Pac formulas out there.

Pro Pac is smart to offer food that has no corn, wheat, or soy since so many dogs are showing sensitivities to this inexpensive fillers.
